Materials needed:
1 natural brass 20mm round filigree bead
1 pewter oxidation glazed porcelain 35mm Triple Gear cabochon
Beading Awl
Chain Nose Pliers
Flat Nose Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Jewelers Hammer
Small Anvil

Instructions:
1. Using a beading awl, pry open the brass bead at the hole where the four points meet. 
2. With chain nose pliers, slowly open the bead, flattening the bead form into a cross flower shape.
3. With flat nose pliers, carefully flatten each leaf of the cross, one at a time.
4. Gently hammer the cross so the bead becomes a completely flat setting.
5. Lay the cabochon in the center of the bead setting.  With flat or chain nose pliers, bend up three tips of the leaves, so they hug the sides of the cabochon.
6. Flatten the three tips down onto the cabochon with flat or chain nose pliers, holding the cabochon in like a prong setting.
7. With round nose pliers, turn the top petal tip around and in to form a bail which will hold the cabochon in place.
