INSTRUCTIONS:

Prep the Rocks:

Drill the rocks in a shallow bowl of water.  It's a good idea to put a scrap surface under the rock for when the drill bit goes through.  Use a dremel tool with diamond bit to drill the rocks.   Drill the rocks as desired.

Rinse the rock in water and leave to dry.  Optionally, you can patina the rocks with alcohol inks or acrylic paints and seal with an acrylic varnish.

Rocks can be riveted together with micro bolts.  For a decorative touch, add bead spacers and BeadAligners® to the holes and a charm epoxied to the rock.

String the Necklace:

1.  Cut two pieces of beading wire 15 inches long and string both pieces through the hole in the rock.

2.  String eight seed beads over two ends of the beading wire on the front and back side of the rock.

3.  String a large copper crystal over all 4 strands of beading wire.

4.  String 10 seed beads onto each end of beading wire. Repeat for opposite side.

5.  String a beaded spacer, faceted cube bead, beaded spacer, small copper crystal, beaded spacer, silver BeadAligner®, large copper beaded twist bead, silver BeadAligner®  beaded spacer, small copper crystal, beaded spacer, faceted cube bead, and beaded spacer onto both pieces of wire.  Repeat for opposite side.

6.  Repeat step four.

7.  String a beaded spacer, faceted cube, beaded spacer, small copper crystal, beaded spacer and faceted cube onto both wires.  Repeat for the opposite side.

8.  Repeat step four.

9.  String a crimp bead onto both wires and through the silver twist ring.  Put the ends of wires back through the crimp bead and crimp flat.  Repeat for the opposite side, checking to make sure all slack is removed.

10.  Connect a copper heishi bar to the silver twist ring with a jump ring.  Attach a silver heishi bar to the copper bar.  Repeat, alternating, using a total of 3 copper bars.  Repeat for opposite side.

11. Fold the leather in half and punch a hole next to the ends.  String the leather onto a jump ring and connect to one end of the necklace.  Repeat connecting the button to the opposite side of the necklace with a jump ring.

12.  Add the OM charm to the end of the necklace next to the leather as a clasp embellishment.
