Clever Clusters Necklace

You can make clusters of small to medium beads and add them to almost any basic stringing pattern to take your necklace beyond "beads on a string." If you make all of the beaded head pins at once, then your necklaces will work up very quickly.

Tools: Round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, wire cutters

1. Make nine beaded head pins with basic loops using the 6mm turquoise, three 6mm purple and the 4mm fuchsia rounds.

2. Pass a head pin through a silver spacer and 40mm purple oval and make a basic loop.

3. Attach an eye pin to the loop and pass it through a purple charm bead to hide the connection.

4. Pass through: 8mm white round, beaded head pin cluster, 6mm white bead, spacer and make a basic loop.

5. Use two 4mm jump rings to attach the pendant loop to the end of the silver linked chain.

6. Attach an eye pin to the other end of the chain.

7. Pass the eye pin through a spacer, 6mm purple, spacer and make a basic loop to attach it to the toggle bar.

7. To fasten the necklace, pass the toggle bar through the first link on the chain.
