Layered Button Pendants
Designed by Katie Hacker

Layered Button Pendant Bead hoarders tend to collect buttons, too, so why not incorporate them into your next jewelry project? Here's an easy layering idea that uses an essential wire-wrapping technique. Mix metallics for an artistic, bohemian look.

Materials
20-gauge natural Twisted Artistic Wire
8mm clear helix CREATE YOUR STYLE with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS
1-1/4" white mother-of-pearl button
Tierracast metal components: gold daisy, antique copper button, copper large-hole bead, antique brass cube bead, gold bail

Tools: nylon-jaw pliers, chain-nose pliers, wire cutters

1. Cut an 8" length of wire and fold it through the button. Adjust the wire so there's about a half-inch extra extending upward from the button.

2. Slide 2-3 components onto the wire at the front of the button. Coil the half-inch piece around the wire stem above the button.

3. Pass the long wire through a series of beads, then make a wrapped loop to attach it to a pendant bail.
