30.5" gold chain

Techniques:
Making a wrapped loop
Making a simple loop
Opening a jumpring

Tools:
Wire cutters
Round-nose pliers
Chain-nose pliers

Instructions:

  1. Slide 1 10x14mm green opaque nugget onto a ball pin. Make a wrapped loop. Repeat 11 more times for a total of 12 nugget drops.
  2. Slide 1 13x20mm green shiny faceted oval and one 3x4mm ocean green AB faceted rondelle onto a ball pin. Make a wrapped loop. Repeat 8 more times for a total of 9  oval drops.
  3. Cut the chain into two lengths, one 8.5" piece (47 links) and one 22" piece.
  4. Find the center link of each chain. It is easiest to start in the center of this necklace and work your way out.
  5. Slide 1 6mm dyed imperial jasper round onto a headpin. Pass the headpin through the center link of the shorter chain. Slide 1 7mm amethyst iris glass faceted bicone and 1 8mm banded agate amethyst round onto the headpin. Pass the headpin through the center link of the longer chain and 1 3x4mm ocean green AB faceted rondelle. Make a simple loop and attach 1 oval drop.
  6. Repeat step 5, sliding the headpin through the second link from the center link on the short chain, and the third link from the center link on the longer chain.
  7. Repeat step 5 again. Always use the second link from the previous link on the shorter chain. This time use the fourth link from the previous link on the bottom chain. Repeat this step 2 more times.
  8. Repeat step 5 but instead of attaching an oval drop, attach a nugget drop, and always use the second link from the previous link on the shorter chain and the second link from the previous link on the longer chain. Repeat this step 2 more times.
  9. Slide 1 6mm dyed imperial jasper round onto a headpin. Pass the headpin through the second loop from the previous loop on the shorter chain. Slide 1 7mm amethyst iris glass faceted bicone onto the headpin, pass the headpin through the second link from the last one on the longer chain, and add 1 3x4mm ocean green AB faceted rondelle. Make a simple loop and attach 1 nugget drop. Repeat this step 2 more times.
  10. Open the final link of the shorter chain and attach it to the third link of the longer chain so that the two chains meet and make a Y shape.
  11. Repeat steps 5 through 10 on the opposite side of the necklace
  12. Open one jumpring. Slide half of the toggle clasp and the final link of one end of the chain onto it. Close the jumpring.
  13. Open the second jumpring. Slide the other half of the toggle clasp and the final link of the other end of chain onto it. Close the jumpring.
