by Katie Hacker

Use simple wire wrapping techniques to embellish plain silver circle links for a stylish look that goes with everything!

Materials & Tools:
2 silver 25mm kidney Beadalon ear wires
#308B-310
20-gauge non-tarnish silver Artistic Wire Twisted #AWD-20T-S10-03Y
2 silver 30mm solid rings
26 purple 4mm Bead Gallery rounds*
2 dyed turquoise 8mm Bead Gallery rounds*
Round-nose pliers
Chain-nose pliers
Wire cutters

  1. Cut a 16" length of wire and coil one end twice around the silver ring.
  2. Pass through a 4mm bead, then coil twice again.
  3. Repeat Step 2 for 12 beads, then bend the wire in a right angle extending outward from between the first and last beads.
  4. Pass the wire through a 8mm bead and make a wrapped loop.
  5. Slide the wrapped loop onto an ear wire.
  6. String a 4mm bead onto the ear wire to embellish it.
  7. Cut a 3" length of wire and coil it around the ear wire just above the bead.
  8. Repeat Steps 1-7 to make a matching earring

Tip: This is a great look with any color/style of round gemstone bead. Use 4mm beads with natural color variation for a gorgeous, artistic look.
