WIRE MESH ( Color palette, Range of stock numbers 2227BS-2243BS )
This is a great product that hasn’t reached it’s potential yet. It looks like ribbon, but stretches and as you pull it apart it becomes a tube of thread made of wire. It comes in a variety of colors and changes the entire look of a “strung project”.

1. String a bracelet like you would normally do and then stretch the wire mesh over it, twisting in the “down” spots. —What an antique look.
2. You can also use an invisible thread, covered with the mesh to make it look like they are floating inside of it. (Crimp next to the beads)
3. Suspend a rock – you wouldn’t have to do peyote or netting to hold it in place.

VELVET RIBBON – Stretchy ( Color palette, Range of stock numbers 2423BS-2473BS )
Non-stretch ( Color palette, Range of stock numbers 2372BS-2422BS )

1. This has lots of uses. You probably remember these types of chokers that were popular at one time with a cameo hanging from a ribbon. This ribbon comes in 3 sizes & 17 colors—stretchy & non-stretch.
2. Watches are the IN thing and look how easy this is to do.
Sample: a. Take the pin type marcasite watch (8191 FN)& run a length of the stretch velvet ribbon underneath the 1st pin, around to the back & up through the 2nd pin—make sure the watch is centered. Use stretch for a little give, just like you would do in a necklace so you don’t have to know exact sizes.
b. We want to embellish close to the pin so that it doesn’t move. Use pearls, 3 mm fire polish, etc. Tip to good embellishing: put a seed bead on each side of the specialty bead (do this on both sides)
c. Attach the special ribbon cord ends ( Gold and silver plated, range of stock numbers 4352FD-4375FD, 4503FD-4526FD ) with E6000 glue(1589TL) and gently squeeze together with chain nose pliers –they won’t mark up the metal (ribbon cord ends have teeth to grip the ribbon)
d. Attach your clasp (8878FN) and you have a watch that is unique.
3. Another item in the fashion industry are the personalized bracelets. Draw up a quick peyote pattern and create a hole at both ends to run the ribbon through (similar to the watch). Add ends. You can change them like the “initial” bracelets you see.
4. Take the smallest ribbon with no stretch here because of the weight that is in the center of the strung necklace. Add the smaller ribbon ends on both ends of 2 pieces. String the center portion of your necklace & attach it with jump rings & crimps. You might want to put some hypo-cement for added security on the jump rings.
5. The fabric hypo cement works great on the ribbon too.

RIBBON – Organza ( Color palette, Range of stock numbers 2348BS-2371BS )

1. Organza ribbon comes in 2 sizes: ¼” and ½” in 12 colors.
2. Brooch. Gather the ribbon by doing a running stitch along the bottom edge of the ribbon and gently pulling it to ruffle. Sew the 2 ends together when the flower is full enough. Using the mother of pearl backing (4507NB) sew on your dangles first. Attach the organza by going through the holes until it is secure. Add a 2nd color of ribbon the same way and then put pearls or accent beads in the center. Attach a pin back (2405FN) by sewing through the holes. Decorate a small handbag the same way & you have a set.
3. You can also create classic looks by adding a focal piece to the center of a ribbon (7101JW) & using a crimp hook (4802FN) for the ends (put a drop of glue inside first).
4. Combine the ribbons for an elegant “prom” necklace. Use the stretch ribbon for your base, add an organza flower off center & sew pearls or other embellishment beads for accents – glue on flat back Swarovski crystals & you have a new updated look.
