Brass Art Metal Component Cuff

Materials Needed: brass cuff, bracelet mandrel, chasing/ball peen hammer, 2-hole punch, micro torch, solderite board, 24 ga. craft wire, Art Metal Components by Anju pendant, wire cutter, permanent marker

  1. Place cuff on solderite board and heat patina using the micro torch on a low setting.  Allow to cool.
  2. Place cuff on bracelet mandrel and texture to your liking using the chasing/ball peen hammer.
  3. Punch holes in all four corners of the Art Metal Components by Anju pendant.  Gently bend the pendant to match the shape of the cuff.  Place pendant on cuff and mark the holes with a permanent marker.  Punch holes over the marks on the cuff using a 2-hole punch.
  4. Cut 4 6” lengths of 24 ga. craft wire.  Lash the pendant onto the cuff and trim and tuck ends.

Eyelet Set Mixed Media Earrings

Materials Needed: recycled vinyl strap, Art Metal Components by Anju charms, scissors, eyelets, eyelet setter, 2-hole punch, hammer, chain nose pliers, chain, earring findings, wire cutter, permanent marker

  1. Cut vinyl strap into preferred shape using scissors.
  2. Using the 2-hole punch, create the correct size hole at the top of the charms.
  3. Place the charms on the vinyl and mark holes with a permanent marker.  Cut a small slit on the mark with a cutter.
  4. Align the eyelet on the eyelet setting anvil and place the vinyl and charm on the eyelet.  Set the eyelet using the hammer.
  5. Round the end link of one of the lengths of chain by gently squeezing it with chain nose pliers.  Thread the chain through the eyelet and round the opposite end link in the same way.
  6. Attach the ear wire through the links.  Repeat for other earring.
