Instructions
Step 1: Thread a gold faceted pearl onto a headpin. Begin a wrapped loop, but before completing the wrap, thread the loop onto one end-loop of the tube bead. Complete the wrap, securing the headpin to the loop. Repeat using a pink pearl. Repeat using a blue/amber rondelle bead.

Step 2: Repeat Step 1, adding 3 beads to each loop on the tube bead. Use an assortment of beads, keeping the size of the beads in mind, adding them in a random pattern.

Step 3: Cut the Figure-8 chain into the following increments: two 1 1/8” lengths; two 1 ½” lengths; two 2” lengths.

Step 4: Using wrapped loops, add a random assortment of beads to each length of chain, again, keeping the size of the beads in mind.

Step 5: Open a jump ring, link it through the loop on the top of a leaf pendant and the last link of one length of chain; close the jump ring. Repeat, adding a leaf pendant to the end of each length of chain.

Step 6: Cut a 3” length of 26-gauge wire. Thread on the briolette, moving it to 1” from one end. Using chain-nose pliers, grip the wire 2mm to the right of the briolette. Bend the wire up and to a 45° angle, across and to the left of the top of the briolette. Repeat for the other side of the briolette, bending the wire up and angled to the right. Grip the wire angled to the left, where the two wires cross; bend to a 90°angle. Grip the wire angled to the right, where the two wires cross; bend to a 90°angle. Using chain-nose pliers, grip the wires where they cross. Using flat- or another pair of chain-nose pliers, grip the tip of the wire bent to the left and begin wrapping it around the wire going straight up; wrap 2-3 times. Cut any excess wire then tuck the end in neatly with chain-nose pliers. Begin a wrapped loop on the other ½ of wire, capturing the loop on the leaf pendant. Repeat, adding a briolette to each leaf.

Step 7: Open a jump ring and link it through the top loop of the 1 1/8” length of chain and the loop on one end of the tube bead; close the jump ring. Repeat, adding the 1 ½” length of chain to the second loop and the 2” length of chain to the third loop.

Step 8: Repeat Step 7 for the other half of the tube bead.

Step 9: Cut a 9” length of beading wire on the tube bead; center it. Thread a blue/amber rondelle, a wrapped silver bead, a faceted tumbled quartz bead, a crimp bead and 8 green luster beads. Place a bonding clip about 2” in from the end of the wire to keep the beads in place, temporarily. String the same bead pattern onto the other half of the beading wire.

Step 10: Pass the beading wire back through the crimp bead. Snug up the beads so the green luster beads form a loop. Using chain-nose pliers, compress the center section of the crimp bead. Pull on the bead loop – if the wire moves, compress the center section again. Once the crimp is secure, trim any excess wire.

Step 11: Remove the bonding clip. Repeat Step 10 – securing the beads in place.

Step 12: Using scissors, cut the ribbons, bugtail cord, and the Fun Fiber you’ve chosen to use, into 2’ lengths. Using wire cutters, cut a 2’ length of beading wire all the lengths of cording through the loop created by the green luster beads in Step 10. Gather the cords so they are equal on each side of the bead loop and all the ends meet.

Step 13: Open one 9mm jump ring, thread on the loop of the flower pendant; close the jump ring.

Step 14: Slide the cords through the jump ring, sliding the jump ring all the way down, close to the bead loop. This will gather the cords in a neat bundle and add a pretty accent to the end of your beaded focal section.

Step 15: Pick up one length of bugtail cord, about 2” up from the bead loop, make an overhand knot. Thread the Big Eye needle onto the bugtail cord, then thread on one leaf bead, passing it down until it rests on the knot. Remove the needle then place an overhand knot above the leaf bead.

Step 16: Determine how long you’d like your finished necklace to be, including the clasp. String an assortment of beads on each length of beading wire, until you reach the length you need for the finished necklace length.

Step 17: Thread the Big Eye needle onto the end of one length of ribbon. Thread on one crimp end. Repeat until you have all the cords, including the beading wire, through the crimp end. Snug the cords and the beading wire, so they are all arranged as you’d like.

Step 19. Compress the center section of the crimp end until the cords are all secure.

Step 20. Repeat Steps 12 – 19 to complete the second half of the necklace.

Step 21. Open the epoxy and prepare per the manufacturer’s instructions. Apply epoxy to the cords inside the crimp end, working from both the top and bottom opening of the crimp end – this will help add extra security to the crimp end connection. Set aside to dry.

Step 22. Using scissors and wire cutters, trim any excess cords.

Step 23. Link the clasp through the loops on the crimp ends.
