Solid rings are everywhere in jewelry making. In today’s Beading Lesson, we’ll show you a unique technique for weaving them together.

To make this woven ring choker, you’ll need nineteen 16mm twisted rings and a 1-yard length of Faux Suede Lace. Faux Suede Lace is super soft and is more pliable than natural suede so it will work better for weaving the rings together.

Start by placing two rings side by side. Stack one ring on top, centered over the first two rings. Weave a piece of suede lace through the back of the first ring, over the edge of the top ring, under the touching edges of the bottom rings and over the edge of the top ring. The pattern is basically under-over-under-over.

Add another bottom ring and another top ring. Weave the Faux Suede Lace over the edge of the top ring under the touching edges of the bottom rings and over the edge of the top ring. Continue adding rings until the desired length is reached.

Embellish the woven rings with beaded head pins and eye pins to complete the choker. To fasten the necklace, tie it at the back of the neck and allow the ends to dangle down.
