Materials Needed:

5 hole leather cuffs (1 set) – Rings and things
3 ply or 4 ply Irish waxed linen - 6 feet
Rectangle beads ¼ to ½ inch in length (larger holes to fit 2 strands of the linen through)
Scissors
Instructions:

STEP #1  When making the single line of beads cut the leather cuff in half through the middle hole, allowing you to make 2 bracelets out of one cuff.

STEP #2  Bend the waxed linen in half and thread the linen through the 2 holes with the bend on the inside of the cuff.

STEP #3  Pull the bend of the waxed linen out just a little to allow you to thread the ends of the linen through the loop.  This will secure the connection and put the stress of the connection more on the linen instead of the holes.  It will also allow the beads to line of straighter and more evenly.

STEP #4  Begin the process by threading on a bead through one end pull tight to the cuff, then thread the other end of the linen through the opposite end of the bead.  Pull both ends to snug up to the cuff.

STEP #5 Continue the same process by again taking the linen ends threading them through each end of the beads and pull tight.  Put the amount of beads that will be the correct length.  Remember the other end of the cuff will need to be added, so do not make it too long.

STEP #6  The cuff bracelet should fit snug but not too tight.  When you reach the other end, thread each end of the linen into the correct holes.  Pull the ends to the back side and tie in a knot to secure.
