Gorgeous Graduated Necklace

Graduated strands are tricky to organize but there's an inexpensive little tool that makes a big difference!  Use a Bead Stopper™ on each end to help keep your strands in place and safe from accidental spills. There's no more need to cry over spilled beads!

Materials Needed:

35mm silver MacKay Collection pendant
Chalk turquoise beads: 9 lime 12mm nugget, 7 aqua 10mm tube, 6 magenta 25mm oval
Round black glass beads: 18 6mm, 14 8mm, 12 10mm, 102 4mm
44 silver 4mm round sparkle beads
.018" silver color Beadalon 19 beading wire
44 silver 6mm beaded solid rings
6 silver ball Scrimp® findings
6 silver Wire Guardian™ findings
Silver 3-loop slide clasp
6 Standard Bead Stopper™ clips
Miniature screwdriver
Wire Cutter

Instructions:

Actual length: 18"

1. Cut the Beadalon wire to the following lengths: 18", 19", 20".
2. Squeeze the end loops together on a Bead Stopper™ to open the center coil and attach it to the end of a piece of beading wire. Repeat for one end of each wire.
3. String beads as follows on the 18" wire: three 4mm, sparkle, 6mm black, ring, lime, ring, 6mm black, sparkle; repeat pattern 8 more times.
4. Add three 4mm beads and another Bead Stopper™ to the end of the 18" wire.
5. String seven 4mm beads onto the 19" wire, then string beading pattern as follows: sparkle, 8mm black, ring, aqua, ring, 8mm black, sparkle, three 4mm; repeat pattern 7 more times.
6. String four 4mm beads and then attach another Bead Stopper™ to the end of the 19" wire.
7. String eleven 4mm beads onto the 20" wire, then string the beading pattern as follows: sparkle, 10mm black, ring, magenta, ring, 10mm black, sparkle, four 4mm.
8. Repeat pattern 5 more times, placing the pendant in the center of the third and fourth magenta beading sections as shown.
9. String 11 more 4mm beads onto the 20" wire, then attach a Bead Stopper™ to the end of the 20" wire.
10. Hold the necklace up to your neck or place it on a necklace form to make sure the drape is right before attaching the clasp. Adjust the length if necessary by adding or removing 4mm beads.
11. Remove one Bead Stopper™ and pass the wire end through a Scrimp® finding, Wire Guardian™, appropriate loop on the clasp, and back through the Scrimp® finding.
12. Repeat Step 11 to attach each wire to the clasp as shown.
