In general, beading thread is different from standard sewing thread because it is specifically designed to resist abrasion. There are different types of beading thread, and each of them has its own benefits.

Nymo is the standard thread that is called for in many beadweaving patterns. It's made of non-twisted fiber filament and is available in many different colors to match your beadwork. It is very thin and is especially good for loomwork or other projects that require the thread to pass many times through a single bead hole. Nymo gains its strength from being woven together, so it is not good for straight stringing projects.

Dandyline is super strong, braided Spectra thread that can be used for weaving or stringing projects. It's available in different diameters to suite the design. It's 100% waterproof and has virtually no stretch. To cut it, use sharp wire cutters or pass the thread along a scissor blade. It will not fray!

Wildfire features the strength and durability of Dandyline with a smooth, thermally bonded coated to create a superior stringing product that cannot be pierced with a needle. Super strong, waterproof and zero stretch, this cord will not fray at the ends, which makes it easy to thread through a needle. This knottable, supple cord is perfect for beadweaving and it's also great for multiple strand designs using the Spin-N-Bead.

Grand Slam is a deep sea fishing line that's made from Spectra fibers that are woven into the tightest braid pattern possible. It's super strong and abrasion resistant, which makes it perfect for designs with crystals and sharp-edged beads. It's waterproof, with nearly zero stretch. Knots are strong and won't slip, and its compact diameter means it is stronger than other materials the same size.
