Before you begin knotting your bracelet, decide if you want to make a knotted section at each end or if you want to make alternating beads and knots.
Instructions for 7-1/2” bracelet:
- Cut one 1-1/2 yard length and one 18” length of 1mm leather cord.
- Fold the long strand in half and secure it to your workspace (or tying station).
- Center the short cord about 1/2” from the fold and use it to tie a square knot around the long cords.
- Make four more square knots.
- Add a bead and make another square knot, alternating beads and square knots for 11 beads.
- Make five square knots total after the last bead.
- Slide a button onto the center cords.
- Tie all of the cords in an overhand knot.
- Leave about 1/2” tail, then trim away any excess cord.
