DIY Distressed Leather Cuff Bracelets
Leather cuff bracelets are so popular and it's easy to create your own! Once you have the basic cuff, it's ready to embellish with stamping, riveting and more.
For a basic snap cuff bracelet:
Distressed Leather strap from Leather Cord USA
leather hole punch,
line 24 snap aseembly
snap setter, anvil and hammer
To make the basic bracelet:
- Wrap the leather around your wrist with the ends overlapping by about an inch.
- Punch a hole about 1/2” from the end of the bracelet.
- Line up the leather to use the hole as a template for other back hole.
- Place the top snap assembly on the right end of the strap, position it face-down on the anvil.
- Place the setter inside the assembly and strike it with a hammer to attach it.
- Place the lower snap assembly correctly on the strap, then use the setter, hammer and anvil to attach it.
- Embellish the bracelet as desired.
Distressed Leather is put through a natural dye process to get that beautiful, worn-in finish. There are three sizes of strap leather available from Leather Cord USA in a variety of colors including the Distressed Leather: 10mm, 15mm and 20mm widths; 2.0mm thick.
